With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Romeo “Momet” Dayao Bautista on November 16, 2024, just days before his 70th birthday. Momet was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family.
Born on November 28, 1954, to the late Romulo and Rosario Bautista. He joins them in heaven with his siblings Corazon and Renato. He is survived by his siblings Roberto, Cecilia, Lydia, Rosana, Gil, Roselia, Evelyn, Ronald, Cherry, and Junjun, who will cherish his memory forever.
Momet married the love of his life, Olga Herrera Bautista, and together they built a life centered on faith and shared joy. Their partnership was a testament to love, respect, and enduring commitment.
He was a devoted father to his children, Ryan Derek Bautista, Rainier Dennis Bautista, and Ron Daniel Bautista. His legacy lives on through their lives and accomplishments.
He is the proud grandfather to Leo Bautista, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his granddaughter, Natalia Bautista.
Momet was a man of many passions. He found joy in the serenity of fishing, the challenge of golf, and the creativity of cooking. He loved solving puzzles, which reflected his thoughtful and patient nature, and he enjoyed the excitement of casinos, where he was often found surrounded by laughter and good company. He also cherished his time as a dedicated Freemason, valuing its principles of brotherhood and charity. But above all, Momet’s greatest joy was the time spent with his family.
Known for his kindness, humor, and resilience, Momet brought light to everyone he encountered. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his generosity, and his ability to bring people together.
Momet’s life will be celebrated with a one-hour memorial Mass at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills, on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 9:30 AM, followed by the internment.
Though Momet has left this world, his memory, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
