Romeo Alejandro Guieb

Romeo Alejandro Guieb passed away on March 3, 2026 at the age of 76, after a courageous fight to recover from a heart attack.

He was born on March 23, 1949, in Ilocos Sur, Philippines and later moved to Chicago, IL, where he raised his son, Jerome, with his late wife, Evelyn. Taking pleasure in driving, as a young family they went on annual roadtrips around the country. Everyone who knew Romeo knew he was a skilled bowler, joining leagues and winning impressive trophies. His family members enjoyed going to the bowling alley with him, and of course, he often had one of the highest scores among the group. Romeo enjoyed fishing as well. His loved ones hold special memories of going to beach piers at night to catch fish with him. He also had a community at the Cerritos Senior Center, making friends and playing billiards. Showing his love in his own ways, he would garden, buy food and cook Filipino dishes for his family almost every day.

At the time of his death, he resided in Cerritos, CA, and is survived as “Papa Romy” by his son, Jerome; daughter-in-law, Leah; grandkids, Elijah, Elisha, CJ, Jaden, and Rachael; and great-grandkids, DJ and Lyla.

A visitation service will be held in his remembrance on March 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Hope Chapel in Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.  A prayer service will start at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you celebrate his life by spreading kindness through a random act of goodwill.
