(Versión en Español más abajo)

Rolando "Rolo" Reinoso, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, born January 15, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, left this world on November 25, 2024, at the age of 59. He passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep, due to cardiovascular disease.

Rolo attended Rorimer Elementary, Giano Intermediate, Nogales, and Santana High schools in La Puente, where he not only acquired knowledge but also made friendships that would last a lifetime. Early in his professional life, he worked as a mason and painter, demonstrating his creativity and craftsmanship. However, it was in his later years that he found his true calling as a truck driver, a role that brought him joy as he traversed the roads and met many people along the way.

Outside of work, Rolo was known for his many hobbies. His bicycle rides around town were not just his way of exercising but an opportunity to visit family and friends. He also enjoyed tinkering with tools and electronics. When he wasn’t occupied with his projects, you could find him relaxing, listening to the oldies, rancheras and baladas that reminded him of his younger years.

He is survived by his father, Carlos Reinoso; his daughters, Darlene Ahumada, Danielle Reinoso, Vanessa Reinoso, and Loriana 17, who were truly the essence of his heart; his siblings, Leslie Reinoso, Juan Carlos Reinoso, and Julio Reinoso; his grandchildren, Deztiny Alas, Aaliyah Vargas, Raymond 16, Josiah 12, and Jaylene 10; great granddaughter, Serenity 1; and his nieces and nephews, Carlos Reinoso, Gabriel Reinoso, Glorisa Reinoso, Marco Antonio Reinoso, Daniel Reinoso, Isaac Reinoso, Samuel Reinoso, and Felicia Perry. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for Rolo, who had a unique gift for making them laugh, even when he tested their patience. He had an uncanny ability to mix the two in equal measure.

Rolando was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria (Tribouillier) Reinoso, and his grandmother Clemencia “Mamamencha” Mendez, whose memory he carried with love throughout his life.

Though he will be dearly missed, especially by his family and close friends who cherished his company and the light he brought into their lives, his spirit will forever live on in the countless stories shared among them about their experiences with him.

The funeral service will take place on January 25, 2025, at 2:30 PM, at the Church of our Heritage, located at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, California. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1623 E. Marbury St. West Covina, California. All who knew Rolando are welcome to join in celebrating his life and paying tribute to the memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
