It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Rolando Espiritu, who entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2026, at the age of 87 surrounded by his loved ones.

Rolando, better known as Tatay to everyone that loved him, was born on April 28, 1939 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. He was the third of six children born to their dear parents.

Tatay was blessed with 8 beautiful children - Ludy, Enan, Owie (+), Obok (+), Cherry, Sol, Amboy, and Jhigs; and a loving loyal wife, Jovy. All of whom were able to spend his last remaining days with, full of love and hope.

In 2002, he moved to Walnut, CA bringing with him his strong work ethic, resilience, and deep dedication to his loved ones. However, that does not stop him from enjoying the things he liked. Tatay also knows how to have fun, he enjoyed spending time in San Manuel Casino playing Bingo, dancing his heart out during parties, and exploring different places with his beloved wife by using public transportation.

Above all, Rolando was a devoted family man. His life was centered around guiding, providing, and supporting not only his family but also the many dear friends he made along the way.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

His warmth, generosity, and strong spirit that left a lasting impact on everyone around him will surely be missed.
