Roger D. Budlong

Roger D. Budlong, 58, born on July 8, 1954, in Los Angeles, California passed away August 22, 2012. He resided in Acton, California at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, CA. Nicheside service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11:00am.

He was proceeded in death by his father Dudley W. and mother Delores. He is survived by his brothers: Gerald; wife Lillian; sons Michael and David; Steven; wife Terri; son Steven and daughter Marisa; and Bruce; wife Elizabeth. The Writers Guild of America, West, Inc, credited Roger as creator and co-author of a screenplay entitled "The Mystery of the Haunted Castle", a two hour movie for television, adapted from Roger's earlier authored novel. His greatest joys were bowling, shooting firearms at an indoor Lancaster range and never-ending landscaping his residence in Acton. He left a written record as a Christian lay preacher. Roger was also past usher at UCLA basketball and football games. He was a past Zone 2 usher for Rose Bowl games. He was December 1988 Northridge Fashion Center Employee of the Month. He was a member of the California State University, Northridge's Move Crew renovating earthquake damage and later maintenance worker at the Engineering Laboratory. At the time of his passing was employed by Walmart Store 1563 in Lancaster. The Walmart store management, associates and visiting headquarters management were considered as an extension of his family.
