Rodolfo O. Olaires

Rodolfo "Rudy" O. Olaires, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Murrieta, California on July 10, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Rudy was born in Balaoan, La Union, Philippines to Catalino and Marcelina Olaires and was the second eldest of six children. Rudy graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Arellano University in Quezon City, Philippines. He had a short career as an educator before immigrating to the United States. While in California, Rudy began dating, and eventually married, his wife of 50 years, Erlinda T. Olaires and raised three sons, Rexford, Kevin and Randy.

For 42+ years, he worked as a flight attendant for Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) and USAir which is one of his greatest accomplishments. Rudy often said that he did not plow the fields instead he "plowed the skies". He took great pride in providing for his family and was proud to show the world to his coworkers, family, and friends. Rudy will be will be remembered for his colorful personality and charismatic spirit. He lived a full life and is now peacefully resting with the Lord.
