Rocky Anas Wuthrich

Rocky "Bebong" Anas Wuthrich, Sr. was born on January 4, 1957, in Surigao, Philippines to his parents, Roberto Sr. and Fely Wuthrich. He graduated from the University of San Augustin with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He used his talents at the Philippines and Saudi Arabia before moving to the United States in the 1980s. He then married his one and only true love, Doris Ann Bunsalan (Registered Nurse), in Los Angeles on August 9, 1986, and had three beautiful children – Jerryleen, Stacey, and Rocky Jay Jr. He worked as a licensed physical therapist aide for 10 years and a licensed physical therapist assistant for 22 years, helping the patients regain their strength to move and walk at several places such as Leisure Glen Care Center in Glendale, GEM Transitional Care Center in Pasadena and Astoria Nursing Rehab Center in Sylmar. As a long-time resident in Los Angeles, Rocky enjoyed watching his favorite shows on The Filipino Channel, his action movies in a local movie theater, his favorite Los Angeles Clippers play at Staples Center, and listening to the news regarding his hometown in the Philippines. He also enjoyed spending time with his family over movies, buffets, and crab legs and would surprise his mother and siblings from time to time.

Rocky was a kind-hearted father, husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend who had a big heart in making a difference to many people. He liked making people laugh and cheering them up. He was also very religious with a history of being an altar boy during his childhood, being committed to the Heart of Jesus Prayer Community since 2001 and being a parishioner at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Eagle Rock for several decades, including becoming a head usher in late 2016.

On July 5, 2017, Rocky peacefully went home to the Lord at the age of 60 after a 7-month battle with cancer. Despite his illness, he never failed to praise and thank God in all circumstances. He remained strong in his faith and served God until the very end.

He is predeceased by his father, Roberto Sr., and his brother, Richard (Richoy). He is survived by his mother, Fely; his wife, Doris; his children, Jerryleen, Stacey, and Rocky Jay Jr. (Jay-Jay); his siblings, Judy, Helen Grace (Baby), Roberto (Boy), Rofely (Ningning), Queenie, Jeffrey, Roger (Beyong), Raymund, Jennifer, Henry; Boyeng, his in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who will miss him very much.
