Roberto Salazar Quijas

April 19, 1932 — November 5, 2017

Roberto Salazar Quijas, 85, born on April 19, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, passed away November 5, 2017. Roberto was a veteran who proudly served in the U. S. Air Force. He resided in Hesperia, California at the time of his passing. He was a wonderfully kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and so much more. Dad, or Bob as most people called him, was a great lover of animals and rescued countless dogs and cats in his lifetime. Not only has he left behind his family who loved and miss him SO much, he has also left behind 4 dogs and many cats who will miss him greatly as he had a "magic touch" with animals, including horses. But these pets are all being lovingly cared for by the family as was his wishes-all the kids in the family inherited the "animal lover gene." The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a generous donation to the animal rescue of your choice; it would make Dad so happy! If you can, share the name of the animal rescue you chose on Facebook so we can share in the joy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California.
There is no formal gathering planned for after the funeral. However, the family will be going to the restaurant La Tolteca after the services and welcome anyone who would like to join them...have a "Corona" in his honor.
