Robert Allen Reynolds

September 21, 1944 — January 30, 2016

Robert Allen Reynolds, 71, born on September 21, 1944, in Tacoma, Washington, passed away January 30, 2016. He resided in Walnut, California, at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. Today we are here to pay homage to a man who has touched each of our lives in a very special way. For some of you it may have been through his passion for our country, it's military, it's veterans and for others it may have been for his great love for the Masonic brotherhood, and others as patients, but regardless of how we all came to meet, it was his extreme passion for all that he did. He could be quite anal as I am sure all would agree, but his passion and determination and his unrelenting quest for perfection in everything he did drew us to him like a moth to a flame. He excelled in all that he did and would settle for nothing less than perfection to the frustration of many I am sure. His attention to detail was unparalleled. He was very goal oriented; he had a zest for life which encompassed all his passions. His career, masonry, the military, his fellow veterans, their causes and he loved his family. He could be extremely witty and charming, had a great sense of humor, fun-loving, loyal, strong. You always knew you could depend on Rob to get the job done. Although a tribute to rob would not be complete without mentioning his great loves. We had no children of the human persuasion, over the course of our nearly 48 years together (March 23rd would have been our 48th anniversary) our world revolved around our fur babies, Zachy, Rusty, Samantha, Nikki, Megan and Kelsey. They are also greatly missed. As I am sure you all know, Rob had a very prolific career as a Doctor of Optometry and also as a U.S. Army officer. As I am sure you all knew, Rob had health problems. A near fatal heart attack shattered our lives as we knew it on August 16, 1986. But as always, Rob pulled a rabbit out of his hat and we were able to have him as part of our lives another almost 30 years. It was a hard struggle for one so young to be cut down in the prime of his life, but he fought a hard and valiant battle. He loved life. His death on January 30, 2016 shocked us all and a tremendous sense of loss has been felt by all that knew and loved him. I am sure we will feel his loss for some time to come. He would want you all to know how very much he valued your friendships and camaraderie. His mother passed away September, 2008 and is buried here. He will be laid to rest next to her today. I would like to thank you all for coming today and taking of your time to honor Rob with your presence here. I knew he is looking down today and feels the love and respect that is very shown here today. Thank you all from the bottom of our heats as we, the family say good-bye to our beloved family member. Thank you again.
Rob is the beloved husband of Krisztinna for nearly 48 years, brother of Rick Reynolds, and stepson of John Rantz. Rob is also survived by mother-in-law Julianna Gregoria, sister-in-law Kuki Livingston and her husband Robert, brother-in-law Butch Gregoria and his partner Terri, nephew Robert Livingston and his wife Anna, niece Jeannie Garbacki and her husband Dennis and a great nephew Niko Garbacki.
