Robert M. Proto

Everett, MA: Robert M. Proto, Jr., 47, of Everett died on June 13, 2014 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett.

Born in Malden, MA, son of Joan (Petricone) (Proto) Pinksten, and Robert M. Proto, he attended Everett High School. Employed as a pipe fitter for local contractors, Mr. Proto was an avid New England Sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins.

He is survived by his parents Joan (Petricone) (Proto) Pinksten of Sandown, NH, and Robert M. Proto of Newton, MA, two daughters, Allison and Brooke Proto of Saugus, MA, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and James Gabriel of Newburyport, MA, and Michelle and Richard Mullins of Nashua, NH, nieces and nephews, Jenna, Ryan, and Emma Gabriel, his beloved companion, Susan Leonard of Bedford, MA, and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his step-father, James E. Pinksten.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, June 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Children of Robert Proto Fund, c/o Eastern Bank.
