Robert Lee Newman

Robert Lee Newman, 57, was born on September 30, 1957, to Isadore Newman Sr and Sarah Williams in Los Angeles, California.
He was the youngest of six children. Robert attended 28th Street Elementary School, John Adams Junior High School, and Thomas Jefferson High School. He continued his college studies at Trade Technical College. Robert rededicated his life to Christ in 2001.






Robert was a Jack of All Trades. He held many different positions throughout the years, tax preparation, security guard, auto detailer. He also worked for Durch Industries as a machinist, but I think he was most proud of the different small business ventures he launched with family and friends. Robert was a great man, he loved all and did all he could to help when he was asked. He enjoyed many things, music, especially jazz, antiques, fancy cars, and sports, but his favorite pass time was just hanging out and enjoying time with his family and friends.







Robert had a smile that could light up a room. And he had a voice that commanded attention. Robert was called home on Novenber 26th 2014. He will be greatly missed. Preceding Robert in death were his parents Isadore Newman and Sarah Williams, his Sisters Rosie Lee Allen and Emily Eugene and his son Calvin Santiago. He leaves to cherish his memory, His brothers James Newman Sr (Carol), Nathaniel Newman Sr (Elvia), Anderson Newman (Emma), Isadore Newman (Sheila), daughters Michelle Newman, and Christina Lewis, son Kirk Lewis, ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter and host of other relatives and friends.
