Robert Navarrette

August 16, 1931 — December 5, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Robert Navarrette born on August 16, 1931 in Miami, Arizona, leaving us on December 5th, 2014. The Navarrette family moved to California where Robert graduated from Chino High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force where he was a Radio and Radar Tech stationed in Korea. After returning to civilian life, he worked for 30 years at General Dynamics in Pomona where he retired as a Supervisor. His retirement allowed him freedom to travel and enjoy life with his wife, children and friends. He enjoyed all sports and enjoyed coaching his son's Pomona Little League team and traveling to Arizona to watch his grandsons play baseball.
He appreciated the beauty of nature and introduced his family and friends to camping, backpacking, fishing, travel and cruising the seas.
Robert fought his long illness courageously. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Juanita. He is additionally survived by his daughter, Deborah, son-in-law Joe Contreras (deceased), son Robert, daughter-in-law Stephanie, daughter Brenda and son-in law Mark Milow. Beloved grand and great grandchildren, who were his joy are Theresa, (husband Guy) Robert John, (wife Samantha) Richard, Julian, Conner and Daniel; four great grandchildren, Alianna, Hailey, Daniel and Sebastian.
Preceding him in death were his brother Jesse, sister Rachel, brother Joe and sister Rosie. Additionally he is survived by his brother Henry, sisters Mary Lou and Irene, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Our love goes with him and we will miss him forever. "Love you more" was his favorite phrase.
