Robert Miller

Robert Lee Miller, age 90, was born on February 07, 1936, in Colorado Springs, Colorado and passed away September 23, 2026 at his home in Ontario, California. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Anne Miller, his five children Debbie Van Noy (son-in-law Mike), Ted Miller, Leonard Miller, Victoria Bettencourt (son-in-law Marco), and Karena Zubiate (son-in-law Richard). He is also survived by his five grandchildren Adam Zubiate (wife Sydney), Aaron Zubiate (wife Cassandra), Alexander Zubiate (wife Trinity), Amanda Bettencourt, and Alexandra Bettencourt.

As a young boy, he trained as a mechanic and worked for 60 years in this profession. Upon his arrival in California he began working for Trailways Bus Line and eventually began working at Armored Transport.  He was the fleet manager for California, Nevada, and Arizona. He designed and built a prototype armored truck that the company used as their standard to build their own trucks. He worked there for many years and even met his wife Margaret there. In 1990 he ventured out on his own and started his own Mobile Alignment business where he worked and retired at the age of 78. As many of you know he was a jack-of-all-trades and was always up for a new project, leaving many unfinished.

He loved NASCAR, traveling in his RV, supporting his grandchildren in their many activities including baseball, band, and horseback riding, a good glass of red wine or Irish whiskey, and spending time with family and friends.
