Robert Maynes passed away February 17th, 2024. He was born on April 6th, 1944, in Los Angeles. Robert will be remembered by his surviving family members: Linda Maynes (sister), Darlene (Niece), Ashleigh (Niece), Willow (Great Niece), Thor (Great Nephew), Steven (Great Nephew), and Sarah (Great Niece).


Throughout his life, Robert had a passion for cars, particularly his 1965 Lemans and Pontiac Fierro. He also enjoyed watching and discussing war movies and had an extensive knowledge of western films. An avid film buff, Robert's favorite movie was "The Wild Bunch."


His close friends and family recall fond memories of Robert's love for taking drives to the music store and Amoeba. He had a unique way of sharing the history of westerns with enthusiasm, surprising many with his extensive knowledge in the genre. Robert's sarcastic sense of humor would often punctuate conversations, bringing laughter to those around him. Movie nights were a regular occurrence during weekends as he and loved ones browsed the video store for new releases.


Robert Maynes possessed a strong yet subtle tone, revealing his affection through actions rather than words. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.


A Funeral Service will be held on March 6th, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale in California, United States. The event will conclude at 12:30 PM.
