Haverhill, MA: Robert J. LeBlanc, 81, of Haverhill and a former longtime resident of Southern New Hampshire and Amesbury, MA, died on November 15, 2015.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Leo J. and Irene E. (Bouchard) LeBlanc, he attend St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from St. James High School with the Class of 1952. Mr. LeBlanc served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1956.
Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed a long career in the Electronics Industry. He was employed as the National Sales Manager and President of Servtech which later became Crystalonics Teledyne, a division of Avnet Technologies, where he continued as the National Sales Manager. He had also been employed previously at Burns and Towne, and was also the President and Treasurer of BBL Electronics.
A resident of Haverhill for the first fifty years of his life, he was a longtime and active member of the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill, where he served on several committees including the Parish Council and the Parish Activities and Fundraising Committee. He was a former member and Past President of the Haverhill Lions Club and had served on the Haverhill Business Planning Commission. He was also a thirty year member of the Johannes Kelpius Lodge of Rosicrucians
Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed tennis and golfing. As a young man he enjoyed summers at the family home on Country Pond and was an accomplished water skier and one of the first persons to accomplish barefoot skiing. In his later years he took up the sport of running and took part in many 5K and 10K events.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Boisselle) LeBlanc, three daughters, Lynn M. Tatarczuk of Exeter, NH, Karen S. Moran and her husband James of East Hampstead, NH, and Anne M. "Annie" LeBlanc of Manchester, NH, three step children, Steven J. Dennis and his wife Lauri of Kingston, NH, Daniel R. Dennis and his wife Cynthia of Bradford, MA, and Allison M. Lytle and her husband Steven of Bradford, MA, ten grandchildren, a great grandson, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leo J. and Lucien G. LeBlanc and his sister, Jeanne Nardone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. LeBlanc's Life Celebration on Saturday, November 21 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
