Robert George Kowell

Robert George Kowell, 97, born on April 26, 1919, in Massillon, Ohio, passed away April 12, 2017. He is one of 5 children born of Victor D Kowell and Cecelia "Elsner" Kowell. He was a life-long Catholic and a believer saved by the grace of Jesus. He resided along with his wife in Loma Linda, California for over 4 years, with his daughter Susan as caregiver, at the time of his passing. He grew up in Alhambra and went to Ramona Grammar School, Alhambra High School (Class of '36), and Pasadena Junior College. He served in WWII with the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force. He married E. Virginia"Ginnie" Johnson on March 7th, 1943 at the Pasadena Wedding Chapel. He worked as a Patternmaker in the foundry business for about 45 years. He and Ginnie spent the last 30 years, before moving to Loma Linda, living in Pasadena. He is survived by his wife, 2 children, (Susan M. Morris and Robert S. Kowell), one granddaughter, (Janine Farnham), one great- grandson (Joshua Farnham), and one living sister, Pauline "Polly" Hamilton, 91, who lives in Plano, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California.
