Robert Francis Kennedy

Robert Francis Kennedy passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, February 12, 2018. He bravely battled cancer for over a year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret, Robert is survived by his daughters, Linda Kennedy White (Stuart), Margaret Frances Emmett (Nick), and his brothers, Leo Kennedy, Richard Kennedy, as well as twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will fondly be remembered for his compassion and generosity. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he ventured to California, where He started his own business, Kennedy Bros. Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration here in the Coachella Valley, along with his brother, Leo Kennedy. He eventually became sole owner of the company and continued to serve this community for over 42 years. He was a Riverside County State Auditor, a member of Indio Chamber of Commerce, and the Elks Lodge. He was an adventurer, and enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, fishing, hunting, and loved spending time with his family. He also loved to sing, mostly old songs that he would teach us, he sounded like Frank Sinatra. He was a great animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of many dogs throughout his lifetime. He leaves behind his dogs, Matzi and Prince, who will surely miss his devoted love and attention. Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 10:30 am for visitation, 11:00 am for the funeral mass, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 43775 Deep Canyon Rd., Palm Desert, CA. Graveside services will be at 12:30 pm, Coachella Valley Cemetary.
