Robert M. Kaulback - Atkinson, NH
Age 76, of Atkinson, passed away suddenly on Saturday November 17, 2012 at his vacation home in Freedom, NH after suffering a heart attack.
Bob was born in Haverhill, MA on March 14, 1936 the son of the late Robert M. and Frances (LaFrance) Kaulback. He was raised and educated in Haverhill and graduated from St. James High School. He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Wentworth Institute in Boston. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air force and was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant with 17 years of service to his country.
Bob had worked as an electrical engineer for many years while also owning and operating Kaulback's Refrigeration. He retired from Lucent Technologies in 2001.
He belonged to The Telephone Pioneers of America and was an active member of The Country Pond Fish & Game Club in Newton, NH. Bob loved hunting, boating and hiking in the White Mountains. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bob courageously fought his third battle with cancer recently. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Bob was predeceased by his son, Mark R. Kaulback. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lorraine R. (Frechette) Kaulback of Atkinson, daughters; Linda M. Holmes and husband Barry of Newton, NH and Robyn M. Abbott and husband Brian of Atkinson, NH and daughter-in-law, Michele Kaulback-Veneski of Greenland, NH. Grandchildren; Rebecca, Jessica, Jennifer and Justin Holmes, Mikayla Kaulback and Monique, Trevor and Markis Abbott. Great-grandchildren; Jaidalynn Jones and Kaleb and Olivia St. Germaine also survive him.
Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday November 20, 2012 from 4-8:00 PM at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A) Plaistow Village, NH. The funeral will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 8:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke the Evangelist at Holy Angels Church at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
