Robert Carl Jensen

Robert Carl Jensen, 85, resided in Compton, CA at the time of his passing. Robert Carl Jensen was born to Carl Adolph Jensen and Augustine Gosslin in Denver, CO.
He graduated from Louisville High School in 1956 and continued his education at Colorado State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in 1964. In 1961, at age 23, he married Linda Busse and their marriage lasted 7 years. From their marriage two children were born, Roberta Carleen Jensen (Turnage), and Randolph Edward Jensen.
He was best known for being a cowboy, having a passion for horses, and love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
While attending a seminar at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, he met and later married Lillie Dimry. They married in 1980 and were married for 40 years. Their favorite song was “A Bushel and a Peck” from the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls, and they sung it to each other regularly. They loved traveling, spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family events were their favorites!
He worked as an engineer for the Flood Control department of the County of Los Angeles from which he retired.
Robert Carl Jensen departed from this earth on February 6, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Carl and Augustine Jensen, his two sisters Barbara and Doris, his 2nd wife Lillie Dimry Jensen, and nephew George Cox.
He leaves to cherish his memory, son Randolph “Randy” Edward Jensen, daughter Roberta “Robbi” Carleen Turnage, stepsons Derick E. Dimry (Pamela Dimry), and Mark L. Dimry, stepdaughters Starla T. Dimry-Parrish (Jerry Parrish), Kimberlie J. Dimry-Bryant (Sam Bryant); Nephew, David Cox; grandchildren: Tiffany Turnage, Heather Norris (Jensen), Leela Turso (Turnage), Andrea Jensen, and Zachary Turnage. Step grandchildren: Jarrod Bryant, Jayson Bryant, Starla Beard, Bria Parrish, and Jalen Parrish. Great-grandchildren: Noah Norris, Summer Norris, Sophie Norris, Joseph Norris, Luke Norris, Wesley Livingston, Rayland Buckley, Tayson Buckley, Eloise Turso, Charlie Turso, and Lily Rose. Step great-grandchildren: Amaya Bryant, Jaydin Bryant, Leiliah (Sissy) Bryant, Jeronimo Bryant, Samiah Beard, Samara Beard, Samaun Beard, and West Daniels.
