Dr. Carvalho attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and did his internship at the New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Psychiatric residency was at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Greenwich Village in New York City. Dr. Carvalho then worked for thirteen years at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York in their Westchester County facility. He moved to California in 1995.
Robert M. Carvalho, M.D., was the Medical Director of Vista Del Mar Hospital in Ventura California from 2000-2011. He also had his private practice in Ventura. He was board certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California.
