Sandown, NH: Rita M. "Sandy" (Alexander) Denoncour, 90, of Sandown and a former resident of Hampstead, NH and Haverhill, MA died on September 14, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Born in Manchester, NH, daughter of the late Omer G. and Aldea (Gregoire) Alexander, Mrs. Denoncour attended St. Raphael Grammar School in Manchester, NH and graduated from Laconia High School with the Class of 1942.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, the most important thing in Mrs. Denoncour's life was making a warm and inviting home for her family. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead and enjoyed baking, and playing bingo. An avid Alpine and Nordic skier, Mrs. Denoncour also enjoyed bird watching and making crafts, which she donated to church Christmas Fairs.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Victor W. Denoncour, a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen R. and Hank Gardner of Atkinson, a son and daughter-in-law, W. Scott and Jane Denoncour of North Berwick, ME, five grandchildren, Michele T. Gibbs and her husband Robert of Atkinson, Christopher S. Gardner and his wife Ryan of South Lake, TX, Kelly Pride and her husband Nicholas of Candia, NH, Taryn Dupuis and her husband Justin of Berwick, ME, and Chris Foss and his wife Nicole of Dover, NH, and five great grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholas, Paige, Emersyn, and Evelyn. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Dumas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Denoncour's Life Celebration on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 166 S. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
