Richard Hurst Stone

Richard Hurst Stone, 83, born on July 20, 1934, in Alhambra, California, passed away November 11, 2017 with family by his side, after a courageous fight with an aggressive cancer. Survived by wife, Dorothy D of Glendale; daughters Teri Stone, & Kim & Steve Castro of Scotts Valley, CA, along with grandchildren, Patrick, Whitney & Connor. He was a proud USC graduate, SAE fraternity brother & held a Real Estate Broker's license for over 60 years with affiliations to Coldwell Banker as a Previews Director; Arcadia Assoc. of Realtors member & President; Director of California Assoc. of Realtors, & Director of National Assoc. of Realtors. He was instrumental in creating CRMLS, CARETS, & new Real Estate licensing regulations & received an Arcadia Assoc. Realtors Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He enjoyed summers in Maui, winters in Mammoth as he loved swimming, snorkeling, water & snow skiing, & travel to see churches, museums & taking pictures of sunsets & family. We will miss his humor, stories, laughter, smile & beautiful blue eyes, along with his upbeat attitude!
