Richard M. Stone

Richard M. Stone, 93, born on October 28, 1931 in Grosse Pointe, MI, passed away December 31, 2024. He resided in Thousand Oaks, CA and Indian Wells, CA at the time of his passing. 

Dick moved from Michigan to Pacific Palisades, CA with his family and attended University High. He graduated from USC in 1956 with a degree in Business. Dick started his career working as a stockbroker at Shearson Hamill and eventually went into real estate development and investing. Passionate about working he was only semi retired, working right up until his death. 

Playing golf and supporting USC remained top interests for Dick. He and his beloved wife of 47 years, Barbara, lived at Desert Horizons Country Club in Indian Wells, CA. Dick continued playing golf into his 90’s and was disappointed when he had to stop. A life long supporter of USC he served on various boards and was involved with his fraternity Sigma Chi. Both Dick and Barbara loved spending their summers at Lake Charlevoix with many visits from their children Stephie and Randy, their grandchildren and friends.

Dick was predeceased by his son, Steven (2022), and is survived by two sons and one daughter, Randy (Diana), Stephanie (John), Jeff (Eva) and their children. Barbara passed away in 2012.
