East Hampstead, NH: Richard W. "Rick" Stewart, 73, of East Hampstead died on June 1, 2016 at his home.

Born in Lynn, MA and raised and educated in Swampscott, MA, son of the late William and Edith (Lougee) Stewart, he graduated from Swampscott High School.

Mr. Stewart was most recently employed at the American Legion Post 34 in Plaistow as a custodian. He had also been employed as a custodian for the YMCA of North Andover for many years.

A member of the American Legion-Carl Davis Post 34 and the Plaistow Fish and Game Club, where he volunteered each year for the Fishing Derby, Mr. Stewart enjoyed fishing, target shooting, spending time with family and friends, and gardening.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael S. and Tracy Stewart of Lynn, MA, a daughter and son-in-law, Tracey A. and Wayne Mayo of East Hampstead, a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia "Pat" and Wally Robicheau of Fort Meyers, FL, and three grandchildren, Cameron Stewart, Kiersten Stewart, and Amanda Mayo. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Wrenn.

A celebration of Rick's life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be may to the American Legion Post 34, 176 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865, or to the Plaistow Fish and Game Club, 18 Mayray Avenue, Plaistow, NH 03865.
