Epping, NH: Richard A. Mahon, 69, of Epping, NH, died on September 23, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.

Born in Exeter, NH, and raised and educated in Kingston, NH, son of the late William and Annette (Arbic) Mahon, he attended the Bakie School and Sanborn Seminary. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Mahon was employed as a construction worker for local contractors and landscape contractors. He was most recently employed by a landscape company owned by his brother, Thomas Mahon. He enjoyed gardening and picking blueberries.

He is survived by his son, Nathan Stout of Worcester, MA, two brothers, Edward P. Mahon of Quit Claim, GA, and Andrew Mahon of Epsom, NH, three sisters, Elaine M. Mahon-Todd of Kingston, Noella A. Kelley of Hampstead, and Roseanne Searles of Haverhill, MA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Mahon.

Burial with the rendering of military honors by the United States Army took place on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Kingston. To leave a message of condolence for the family please visit our website, www.brooksidechapelfh.com.
