Richard James Krings

Richard James krings passed away April 6, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born in Plum City, Wis. on August 23, 1932, to Vernon and Lavina Krings. He moved to Cathedral City, Calif. with his family in 1945 and resided there until his death. He graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1950. After serving a tour in the United States Navy, and being deployed to Korea, he returned to Cathedral City where he was employed as a master carpenter and cabinet maker until he retired in 1969. Richard was a devoted member of the Fourth Degree of The Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his broher, Harry Krings. he is survived by his brother Duane Krings; nieces, Rey and Carol; and nephew, Owen. Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Palm Springs, Calif. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Knights of Columbus Council #3583. c/o Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 204 South Calle el Segundo, Palm Springs, CA 92262.
