Lakewood

Richard Williams, 62, born on November 28, 1962, in Florrissant, MO, United States, passed away August 15, 2025. He resided in Lakewood, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress,

First born Son to his parents Richard Lee and Carolyn Jane, he was truly the Golden Boy, his ultra fine blond locks felt simply angelic. He lived like the average boys of the 60’s and 70’s, playing ball in the spring, watching astronauts land on the moon, and dreaming of the day he would be able to fly into space, going to all the great places like the Grand Canyon, TheRivers of Missouri, and Las Vegas with Grandma for one last time…Richard was taught young that if you work hard and be successful, you will have all your dreams come true.

At the young age 15, Richard had his first heart break, his mother left him, his world was shattered into a million pieces. The life lessons were in serious doubt, and yet he marched on, finishing high school and college to become an accomplished and loyal engineer in the healthcare industry for 36 years.

After securing a job, Richard set his sights on laying the groundwork for his future family, bought himself a starter home in Lakewood California, where he would eventually meet his forever dream girl in bar of all places. You don’t meet your soul mate at bar, many of his friends would say. But, there she was, celebrating her own success finishing her first year at law school with friends. After an evening of talking over drinks, numbers were exchanged, and, the rest was history. 30 years of marriage to the woman he would share his hopes, dreams and a son, Christopher James with, all while raising her 3 daughters Ashleigh, Jennafer and Stephane, he would come to call his own. Richard got really good at being father of the bride.

One of life’s rewards he took great pride in was becoming a grandparent, all his time away at work in his young years, being GPa, he was able to make up for the lost time. He cherished every moment with Marceline, and meeting Benjamin Keith was his greatest honor.

Richard is survived by his brother, Brian Lee (Julie) his son, Christopher James, his Wife, Patricia (Patty) his daughter’s Ashleigh (Jeff) Jennafer (Cody) and Stephane (Alex) his grandson, Benjamin Keith, his granddaughter, Marceline Mae.

While life wasn’t perfect for Richard, his life’s journey made perfect sense to him.

The body may be tired, but, the soul remains strong. Rock on !
