Richard Reed Bontems

December 9, 1946 — July 11, 2020

Richard was born on December 9, 1946 in Glendale, California to his parents Edward and Ann Bontems, he was an only child. He graduated from California Lutheran College with a degree in English. Richard was highly intelligent and was always a hard worker. He went on to work for Citibank as an assistant V.P. of Training and Development. After Citibank he landed a job as a Film Researcher for the American Film Institute, he really came into his own as a talented researcher and writer and he was proud of the work he did with AFI, producing numerous Life Time Achievement books over the years.

Richard passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
