It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricardo Blasco Jr., who left this world on November 27, 2024, in Orange, California. Born on February 19, 1946, in Manila, Philippines, Ricardo lived a life that epitomized love, dedication, and kindness. He was a devoted husband to Perla Blasco and an exemplary father to his six children: Raquel Blasco-Tamondong (married to Benjie Tamondong), Richard Blasco (married to Joselyn Tucit-Blasco), Robert Pol Blasco, Rosalyn Blasco, Ruth Blasco-Viguilla (married to Roderic Viguilla), and Rachel Anne Blasco.
Ricardo had an unwavering commitment to his family, constantly putting their needs above his own. His love and sacrifices provided his children with a solid education, allowing them the opportunity for brighter futures. He took immense pride in nurturing their growth and achievements. To his grandchildren—Brian Tamondong, Bianca Tamondong, Byron Tamondong, Jillian Blasco, Regina Blasco, and Raphael Blasco—he was more than just a grandfather; he was a gentle spirit who adored and spoiled them, creating countless cherished memories that they will carry forward.
Beyond his role as a family man, Ricardo was known for his friendly demeanor, boundless kindness, and infectious sense of humor. He had a unique ability to lift spirits and touch hearts with his warmth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His legacy of laughter and compassion will stay etched in the minds of all who loved him.
Ricardo departed this life peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones, leaving behind a profound void that will be felt deeply by those who cherished him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Blasco Sr., his mother, Juanita Blasco, and his brothers, Edgardo and Antonio Blasco, along with his uncle, Antonio Veloso and his nephew, Antonio Blasco Jr. They now welcome him into their embrace in eternal rest.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Ricardo's life will take place at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Hope Chapel in Cypress, California, on December 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
While we grieve the loss of such an extraordinary man, we also find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through the love he fostered and the lessons he imparted to his family. His legacy will forever remain a guiding light in their lives.
