Reynaldo Malinis Torres, 76, Beloved Family Man and Talented Cook

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reynaldo “Rene” Torres at the age of 76, who departed this life on November 12th, 2024 in Torrance, California beside the love of his wife, Juliana Torres.

Born on September 27, 1948, Rene dedicated his life to his family and to the simple joys that made every day special. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, he was known for his warm heart, generous and humorous personality, unwavering support, and a smile and laugh that could light up the room.

Rene also had a passion for cooking Filipino food that went beyond just preparing meals – it was his way of expressing love and bringing family and friends together. His kitchen was a sanctuary, filled with aromas of Filipino dishes that reflected his creativity and care. Family gatherings were made unforgettable by his talent, as he turned every meal into a celebration of togetherness.

Above all, Rene was a family man. He loved deeply, laughed often, and always put others before himself. His legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and love – a gift that will continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

Reynaldo is survived by his wife Julianna, daughter Michelle and sons Michael, Tony, and Lorenzo, and his eleven grandchildren. He will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.

A celebration of Reynaldo’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 – 4:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial - Patriots Chapel located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue Cypress, California, officiated by Reverend Mario Juarez.

Rest in peace, Reynaldo. Your love and light will forever remain in our hearts.
