Rex Ronald Ravelo

On Friday February 04, 2022, Rex Ravelo passed away unexpectedly at age 54.

Rex was born on Dec 13, 1967, in Annapolis, Maryland to Nestor Ravelo and since deceased Lourdes Lomuntad. He was raised in Cerritos, CA and attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School and St. John Bosco High School.

Rex received his Electric Engineering and Computer Science degree from UC Berkeley in 1990 and has been an IT Project Manager for over 20 years. He is survived by his daughter Natalia and his son Nicholas.

Rex had a passion for sailing, Ford Mustangs, and a deep, crazed passion for basketball. He was a loyal LA Lakers fan who consistently watched the preseason, regular season, and postseason games. He was glued to the TV for every playoff and championship game. He loved the game so much he was a volunteer coach for recreational basketball for elementary aged kids.

A Viewing will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Forest Lawn, Cypress Room 12-4pm with a Rosary Prayer 1-2pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 18708 Clarkdale Avenue, Artesia, CA 90701.

Interment services will follow at Forest Lawn in the Garden of Protection area.

The family asks that any donations made in his honor kindly go towards the American Heart Association.
