MSG Reuel David S. Aguinaldo a native of Woodland Hills, CA enlisted in the Army in September 1990. He completed Army Initial Active Duty Training through Fort Sam Houston, Texas and graduated as a 91A, Medical Specialist. His first unit of assignment was with Charlie Company, 340th Support Battalion with the California Army National Guard.

MSG Aguinaldo served in an array of increasingly responsible enlisted leadership positions within the California Army National Guard. His assignments include Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, and Fire Support Sergeant. MSG Aguinaldo assumed the duties as the Operations Sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company 40th Brigade Support Battalion on 1 June 2021. His deployments include Kosovo in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with C Co. 340th Support Battalion, 2005-2006, Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn with HSC 640th ASB, 2011 and Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with HSC 640th ASB, 2015-2016. MSG Aguinaldo's military education consists of Warrior, Advance, Senior Leaders Courses, and Structured Self Development I-IV Courses.

MSG Aguinaldo's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3rd award), Army Achievement Medal (5th award), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (7th award), National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Service Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Bronze Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal w/Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" Device, Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon w/Numeral 3, Non-Article 5 NATO Medal (Resolute Support), Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Air Force Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon.

MSG Aguinaldo's leadership style and devotion to the Soldiers was second to none. He was well respected, and loved by many. MSG Aguinaldo had an insurmountable heart. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds. His smile, his laughter, and his spirit will always be remembered. He was a devoted Son, Brother, Husband, and Father who dedicated his life to his family, and the California Army National Guard. He will never be forgotten.

MSG Aguinaldo is survived by his wife Maria; four sons, Reno, Russell, Isaiah and Lorenzo.
