Reta Laurine Gavigan

Reta Laurine Gavigan, 90, born on June 29, 1927, in Plympton Township, Ontario, Canada, passed away February 6, 2018. She resided in Rancho Cucamongo, California at the time of her passing. Reta was the widow of Raymond Gavigan, who proceeded her in death 28 years ago.. The Mother of 6 children, Kay, Joanne, Sharon, Jerry, Peter and William, who passed in his first month of life. The Grandmother of 12 and the Great Grandma of 24, Reta was the head of this large family and the "baby expert" everyone called on. After the death of Ray, she busied herself with Church activities, working, dancing and solo cross country drives to Canada and Idaho. Ballroom dancing became the highlight of her weeks for several years. Dancing kept her fit and trim, hair done, nails perfect, and always in need of a new pair of high heels. Some elders have a difficult time getting rid of their car, for Reta, the sadness of aging was giving up of her high heel shoes. We miss you Beautiful Lady. Reta's services will be held on February 20th at 10 am at Saint Anthony's Church at 2100 N. San Antonio, Upland, CA 91784
