Renie A. Magat, a long-time resident of Palm Desert, California passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 26,1942 in Santa Cruz, Laguna, the eldest of 7 children of Atty. & Mrs. Jose C. Magat. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Arts major in Fine Arts. Renie's passion for the arts and music was indelibly etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He had an unquenchable thirst for everything that's colorful and lively, infinitely beautiful and magical as echoed by his songs. He was hopelessly sentimental and loving which was enormously felt by his family. Renie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lydia; his sons, Joselito, Juval and Jethro; his daughter, Jasmin; 9 grandchildren and a soon-to-be great grandson; 6 siblings, in-laws; many nephews and nieces and friends.
Funeral rites are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
