In Loving Memory of Remedios (Remy) Cariño Villanueva

Remy, the cherished matriarch of our family, left this world on December 14, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength,  and unwavering kindness. Born 5/20/1950, she touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Remy was not just a wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandmother; she was the heartbeat of our family. Her unwavering love and nurturing spirit created a foundation that bound us together through joy and sorrow. Her life was a testament to the values of compassion, resilience, and selflessness.

Married to Domingo for 57 years, together they navigated the journey of life, demonstrating the power of commitment and partnership. Domingo, along with their children Alenar (and Mikey), Blesila, Robert (and Catherine), and John (and Jillian), mourn the loss of a remarkable woman who made their house a home filled with love and laughter.

Remy leaves behind a legacy of love that extends through generations. Her grandchildren, Jeanina, Nathan, Andrew, Krystal, Chloe, Phoenix (Jared), Ian, Brendon, Aliya, Riley, and great grandchild Sullivan, were the recipients of her boundless affection. She showered each one with wisdom, care, and endless support, leaving an unforgettable mark on their hearts.

While Remy migrated from the Philippines over 50 years ago, she kept her family close to her heart, visiting when she could and FaceTiming her sisters every day.

Beyond her role as a family matriarch, Remy was a friend to all. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and her friendships were a testament to her compassionate nature. She created a community wherever she went, and her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those lucky enough to call her a friend.

Remy retired from the Aids Healthcare Foundation after two decades. Her work there filled her with immense pride, and she lovingly shared cherished memories with her family.

As we bid farewell to Remy, let us remember the lessons she imparted: the importance of family, the strength found in love, and the impact of a life lived with grace. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.

A viewing and church service was held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills on Thursday, December 21st.

If you have any questions, please contact via text, Krystal at (626)975-0363 or Blessy at (626)328-5549.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

We love you, mom/grandma!
