Remedios Amilhussin

Remedios (Remy) Amilhussin, 89, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1936, in Santa Fe, Zambales, Philippines. Remy graduated from the University of the Philippines with a bachelor's degree in Social Work, and in 1969, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she married her husband, Abdul Amilhussin and built a loving family and home in Glendale, CA.

Remy dedicated her career as a Los Angeles County social worker, compassionately supporting the Asian and Filipino community and at-risk children of L.A. until her retirement in the 1990s. She touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, two sons, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, extended family, and friends and is now reunited in heaven with her husband, sister, and parents. At the time of her passing, she resided in Thousand Oaks, California.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Forest Lawn in Glendale, California.
