Rejane A. Clericy

April 15, 1931 — November 27, 2021

On November 27, 2021, Rejane Clericy passed away at age 90.

Rejane was born on April 15, 1931, in St. Flovier, France to Alfrede and Marcelle (Charcellay) Edime, the oldest of four children, including a brother and two twin sisters. She moved to Canada, then to Long Beach, CA in 1971 with her daughter and worked tirelessly being a single parent and a bank teller, finishing her career caring for patients as an in-home care giver for several years before retiring and moving to Wildomar, CA.

Rejane had a passion for arts and crafts which she would gift to appreciative family and friends throughout the year, especially at Christmas and for new babies, which she loved. She had a dry sense of humor and would poke fun at random things and giggle until she cried. She also loved wildlife (but not snakes!), tending to her garden (she had a green thumb like no other), and read books; however, her great love was genealogy, and she was enormously proud of her French lineage. She spent the better part of the last 30 years researching for hours, combing through micro-fiche, and corresponding with people near and far to acquire as much information as she could. She was able to trace her roots back to the 1600's and her profound knowledge of the family history is deep-rooted in keeping the extended family legacy alive for future generations.

Rejane was preceded in death by her mother, Marcelle, her father Alfrede, her brother Gilles and her sister Nicole. She is survived by her daughter, Nathalie, her sister Marie-Christine and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins in the US and France. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 2021, at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA. Flowers may be sent directly to Forest Lawn or a donation to The Breast Cancer Society can be made in her name as she was a proud survivor of breast cancer, and it was a cause which she supported wholeheartedly.

Rejane had a long life and touched many people along her journey.
