Sandown, NH: Reginald E. Pepin, 96, a former resident of Sandown from 1976 until 1987, died May 5, 2015 at Life Care Center of The Merrimack Valley, North Billerica, Massachusetts.
Born in Barnet, Vermont, son of the late Ernest and Winnie (Dionne) Pepin, he attended local schools and graduated from Fairbanks Vocational High School. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946.
A resident of Billerica, Massachusetts from 1966 until 1976, Mr. Pepin was a proud member of Local #4 of the International Operating Engineers Union since 1941 and was employed for many years as a crane and heavy equipment operator first at Julian Crane Rental of Watertown, MA and also by several New England contractors and finally at Seabrook Station from where he retired.
He moved to Lisbon, Maine in 1987 where he was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and enjoyed twenty years of boating, camping, hunting and fishing and was a member of Post #22 of the American Legion of Lewiston.
Mr. Pepin moved to Clinton, Massachusetts in 2007 before moving to North Billerica in 2012 and was a devoted Pepere to his nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and great-great grandson.
Predeceased in 2005 by his loving wife, Gertrude S. (Doyon) Pepin, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Donna Pepin of Epsom, NH, son Reginald E. Pepin of Hudson, NH and his fiancé Cindy McManus, daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and William Hanson of Bolton, MA, and daughter Marlene Sullivan of Pepperell, MA and his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandson, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow, NH. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Private family visitation is being held at Brookside Chapel and Funeral home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
