طوبى للأموات الذين يموتون في الرب… لكي يستريحوا من أتعابهم، لأن أعمالهم تتبعهم. (رؤيا 14:13)

It is with deep sorrow, yet profound gratitude that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Mr. Refaat Saad Sultan, who departed this life to be with Christ—which is far better,

A devoted father, cherished grandfather, and faithful friend, he was the cornerstone of our family, offering unconditional love, unwavering support, and gentle guidance throughout his life.

Mr. Refaat S. Sultan was born in Asyut, Egypt, and entered into the presence of the Lord in Orange, California. Throughout his life, he was a beacon of love, compassion, and kindness, faithfully embodying the heart of the Good Samaritan. His life was marked by humility, generosity, and a sincere desire to serve others, and his passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mr. Refaat’s remarkable spirit touched countless lives. He possessed a rare gift for bringing joy to others and building lasting relationships wherever he went. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always ready to extend a helping hand and genuine compassion to those in need. Whether through a word of encouragement, an act of generosity, or simply his warm presence, he was a shining light to everyone around him. His legacy of faith, love, and selfless kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Mr. Refaat S. Sultan is lovingly survived by his children: Ebtsam R. Sultan and her husband, Mr. Karam A. Ghaly; Albair R. Sultan and his wife, Mrs. Gabby F. Bisada; Elizabeth E. R. Michaels and her husband, Mr. Narmar W. Michaels; Osama R. Sultan and his wife, Mrs. Mervat Y. Bakhit; Amir R. Sultan and his wife, Mrs. Amany A. Faltas; and Amira R. Sultan and her husband, Mr. Waleed H. Hanna. He was also the proud and deeply loved grandfather of fourteen grandchildren, each of whom will forever carry his love and example in their hearts.

Though Mr. Refaat’s earthly journey has come to an end, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. As Scripture reminds us, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” and “to depart and be with Christ… is far better.” While we grieve his absence, we do not grieve without hope. His enduring legacy of faith, love, compassion, and integrity will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will forever remain treasured in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mr. Refaat’s life at a Funeral Service to be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026,
