Rebeca Chanes

June 10, 1926 — October 9, 2022

Rebeca Llaneza Chanes, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at her home in Mission Viejo on October 9, 2022. She joins her beloved husband, Antonio and son Ricardo to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. Rebeca was born in Santiago, Chile, to Blanca Becker and Maximo Llaneza. Rebeca and her husband-to be, grew up in the same neighborhood. Their parents were good friends. They later dated, fell in love and married. They decided to relocate with their young family to the United States in 1961. They resided and maintained beautiful homes in Los Angeles, Seal Beach, Riverside and Mission Viejo, CA. Rebeca and Antonio worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their five children. Rebeca loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, but she also worked outside of the home to help provide the best for her husband and children. Rebeca's warmth was felt by everyone she met. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always making those around her laugh and smile. She was skillful in the kitchen and loved to prepare her delicious Chilean dishes for family and friends. She loved when her family gathered at their home to celebrate Birthdays and Holidays. Rebeca enjoyed gardening and tending to her many beautiful rose bushes that she had planted in her yard. She also enjoyed an afternoon of shopping, lunch and socializing with her many friends. Rebeca is survived by her loving children; Maria Antonieta, Jose, Luis and Francisco. Rebeca also leaves behind her grandchildren; Nicole Yazigi, Jose Antonio Yazigi, Andy Chanes, Cristobal Chanes, Blanca Chanes, Ricardo Chanes, Rafael Chanes, Bryce Chanes, Becca Chanes, Tony Chanes and Dominic Chanes. Rebeca is also survived by her many great grandchildren.
