Raynham W. "ray" Clark

Groveland, MA: Raynham W. "Ray" Clark, Jr., 81, of Groveland died on March 17, 2014 at his home from natural causes.

Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Raynham W. and Bearle (Glover) Clark, he attended Haverhill public schools and graduated from the Haverhill Trade School. Mr. Clark also served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mr. Clark worked as a machinist for Haverhill Boxboard and later in the maintenance department at the Lawrence Public Works, from where he retired in 1997.

In his retirement Mr. Clark helped out as a golf ranger at Far Corners Golf Club in Boxford. He enjoyed boating, the outdoors, and spending time with his schnauzer, Ivan.

He was predeceased by his wife Carole L. (Perry) Clark, and is survived by his son Scott A. Clark and his fiancé Kathie Utt of Sandown, NH, his daughter, Karen L. Clark of York Harbor, ME, his brothers, David Clark of Haverhill and Loristan Clark of West Newbury, his sister, Virginia Joy of New York, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friend may call on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration will follow at 4:05 p.m. in the funeral home concluding with the rendering of military honors by the United States Navy.
