Raymond Wong

Raymond Wong, 96, born on December 31, 1928, in Spalding, Jamaica, passed away March 02, 2025. He resided in Granada Hills, CA at the time of his passing. A service was held for him with his immediate family at Forest Lawn, Glendale where his mother, Laura (Mama) and his daughter, Carol were laid to rest. 

Ray's wife, Rita is surrounded and supported by her loving children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, Ray's brothers and sisters and close family and church friends; who also loved Ray. 

Ray was named, "Bishop Tunes" by his church, which began in his home 43 years ago. His life was called to lead others through his ministry abroad with Mutual Faith Ministries. He would speak with anyone he met to ensure they knew God and led them to knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Ray and Rita interceded for others through their prayers for others before themselves. 

As a father, he made sacrifices for his family to bring them to America from Jamaica. Both Ray and Rita worked hard to make a life for their family building his own dental technician business, RayDent Lab until he retired.

He loved to sing worship songs and pray for others. He enjoyed time with him family playing dominoes, mahjong and rummikub.  On his own he enjoyed racing homing pigeons and raising doves and growing mango, sugar cane and fruit trees in his backyard.  He loved being outside working in the yard (or anyone's yard) and always trying to fix anything that needed repair, which meant he held onto anything he had for a very, very long time.
