Raymond Samuel Ulis, 95, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at his home in Los Angeles, California. He was surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born July 2, 1919, to Samuel and Hulda Ulis in Alberta, Canada. He was the second eldest of six children.

In his spare time, some of the things Raymond loved to do were, work in his garden growing a variety of vegetables, go on long walks, tell jokes, reminisce about his days as a soldier, spend time with his family, and drink a glass of his favorite scotch to end his evenings while watching his favorite T.V. shows, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Raymond is survived by his brother William Ulis, loving daughter Diane (Bill) Mangiagli of Culver City, California; son Elwin (Carol) Ulis of Seattle, Washington and son-in-law Terry Grimm of Culver City, California; also he is survived by his grandchildren, Rachael Mangiagli, Sara (Rashied) Grimm-Weeks, Scott (Tessa) Grimm and Adam Ulis; great-grandchildren Will and Isabella Mangiagli, Kaiya Weeks, and Nathan and Joshua Grimm, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews across the United States and Canada.
