Raymond R. Guyovich

Raymond Richard Guyovich, 89, Rancho Mirage, Calif., passed away on July 16, 2013 in Rancho Mirage. He was born June 27, 1924, to Dushan Guyovich and Mae Guyovich in Chicago, Ill. He married Donna Martinovich on November 21, 1981, in Covina, Calif. He headed the Property Management Division of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District for 38 years. He was a member of Al Malaikah Shrine and the Desert Jesters. He served in the Army from January 15, 1943 until June 19, 1945 as a Staff Sergeant. He was wounded in action on November 5, 1944.. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughters, Debra and Diane Guyovich, both of Palmdale, Calif.; his son, Tom Guyovich of Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandchildren, Tom, Alex, Rogers, Caylin, and Eliot; and his great-grandchildren, Hailey, Brandon, Mason and Samantha. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Cathedral City, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
