Haverhill: Raymond E. Gagnon, 81, of Haverhill and former resident of Epping NH, died Saturday morning, October 24, 2015 at Wingate at Haverhill.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Alfred and Irene (Cullen) Gagnon, he graduated from the former Haverhill Trade School. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Air Force as an Airman Second Class and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Gagnon worked for many years as a shoe sales representative and also as a Quality Control Supervisor at Foss Manufacturing, from where he retired. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and woodworking.

He was predeceased in 2014 by his wife of thirty years, Carolyn (Wile) Gagnon, and his son Timothy Gagnon in 2005, and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter Kathleen M. Gagnon and her partner Mary Ellen Johansson of Manchester, NH, a daughter-in-law Joanne Gagnon of Northwood, NH, a sister Betty Crepeau of Exeter, NH , a sister and brother-in-law Helen and David Lane of Haverhill, grandchildren, Alaina Gagnon, Richard Gagnon and his wife Megan, Alexandra Gagnon, and Robert Gagnon, a great grandchild, Maddox T. Gagnon, and an aunt and uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow NH. His funeral service will follow at 6:15 at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA.
