It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Raquel Velasco, who passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, at the age of 88.
She was born on July 17, 1937, in Jalisco, Mexico, and carried the strength, resilience, and warmth of her roots throughout her life. A devoted and tireless worker, she held many jobs over the years, always giving her best. Of them all, her time working at the bank was her favorite, a place where she took pride in her work and the connections she made.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Velasco, whom she loved deeply.
She is survived by her five children, Ruben, Oscar, Lorena, Mario, and Marysol who were the center of her world. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Alex, Victoria, Daniel, Marky, Whitney, Christy, Elizabeth, and Violet. Her grandchildren meant everything to her, and she gave them endless love, care, and support throughout her life.
Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. She carried a strong and unwavering belief that guided her through every joy and challenge. She often shared that the happiest moments of her life were when her children were young—spending time together, taking them places, and creating memories that would last forever.
She will be remembered for her strength, her dedication to her family, her deep faith, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and in the countless memories they will carry with them always.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
