Raquel Lebish

Raquel (“Rocky”) Darlene Lebish (née Hoffman), of Indio, CA, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 57, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 15, 1968, Raquel lived a life of happiness and laughter and brought joy into the lives of all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be forever remembered and missed by her two sons, Eric and Adam; her brother, Max and his husband Sebastian; her mother, Phyllis; and all her cousins, uncle, extended family, and many friends.

As an avid learner and seeker of knowledge, not only did Raquel value education, she valued the education of others, which drove her to success in her decades-long career as an educator. With a great natural teaching ability, she inspired her students to work to their greatest potential and to never be afraid to ask for help. She was someone who believed that hard work was the best way to success and inspired her students, children, family and friends to do their very best at everything they put their minds to.

As someone who always enjoyed an adventure, Raquel loved taking road trips with her family, for which she insisted on driving. Having spent many weeks on the road, with her parents, brother and dog(s), during her childhood, she brought that into her children’s life and always encouraged them to seek new experiences and to enjoy life to its fullest. She always appreciated the serenity of nature and found great pleasure in seeking all that the world had to offer.

Raquel’s legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and compassion. A woman who was kind as she was funny, she has left a lasting mark on all of our lives and her memory will be remembered for generations to come. She will be dearly missed.
