With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Rachel Islas on February 15, 2026, at the age of 42. Born in West Covina, California, Rachel was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a beloved wife of 17 years to Xavier Ponce, a devoted daughter to Maria and Arnulfo, a loving sister to Betty, Tere, and Ricky, and a treasured godmother. Rachel was also a proud and devoted dog mom to her three beloved pups, Kilo (RIP) Roxy and Zoe whom she adored. Rachel had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a love that knew no limits. Family was everything to her, and she gave her love freely and completely. She often said, “I love you to the moon and back,” a phrase that truly reflected how deeply she cared for those around her. Though her time with us was far too short, her love and memory will remain in our hearts forever.
Forever loved. Forever missed.
