Ramon Marez Velasquez

Ramon Marez Velasquez, 71, born on May 29, 1950, in JAL, Mexico, passed away May 28, 2022, surrounded by his family. He resided in Compton, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Ramon is survived by his wife of 49 years Elvira Marez Garcia, daughters Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Marez, Lucia Marez, Kristina Torreyson, Elvira Marez, Andrea Marez, sons Martin Marez, Ramon Marez, Javier Marez, Alberto Marez, Juan Antonio Marez, father Prospero Mares Escoto, his sisters Maria Concepcion Mares Velazquez, Juanita Mares Velazquez, his brothers Andres Mares Velazquez, Refugio Mares Velasquez, Florencio Mares Velazquez, Jacinto Mares Velazquez, Fernando Mares Velasquez and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Ramon was a loving father, husband, great-grandfather, grandfather, and friend. He was a wonderful cook that could make a meal out of anything.
Ramon loved to watch soccer, especially Las Chivas de Guadalajara. He worked for many years but was forced to give up his job due to his health. He spent his free time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed going for walks around the neighborhood. He was serious on the outside but all who knew him knew his humor and how he liked cracking jokes.
