Ralph William Tiffany

March 3, 1938 — October 31, 2022

Ralph William Tiffany, 84, passed away on October 31, 2022, in Los Alamitos, California, after a long fight recovering from a stroke. He loved the theatre, Shakespeare, Mozart, traveling in Europe, and spending time with his wife of 52 years, Susan. He was an insurance salesman by trade and an actor at heart.

Ralph was the second son of Ralph Blaine Tiffany and Laura Thorvaldson Tiffany, and was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on March 3, 1938. He married Susan Christine Fife on July 10, 1970.

He spent five years in the Air Force in the late 1950s, where he worked in the Military Police in England and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal.
Ralph earned his master's degree in Dramatic Literature and English at the University of Utah, where he directed Arthur Miller's, The Price. Ralph spent several years working to break into Hollywood as an actor. His Paul Newman blue eyes and Marlon Brando chin line drew modest acclaim, and he settled down in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington.

Like his father, Ralph found solace in driving long roads. He loved the countryside of England and studied British literary history with a passion. Ralph relished walking the streets of London and Paris. He could always strike up a conversation and make you smile.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Tamara Erin Tiffany, his older brother Ronald Kay Tiffany, his sisters Mary Joan Chateau and Catherine Ross Holman, his former wife Myrna Joy Mathis, and by his parents.

Ralph is survived by his children Vickie Ainge (Vernal, Utah), Paul Tiffany (El Dorado Hills, California), Dwayne Scott Tiffany (Vernal, Utah), and Scott David Tiffany (Long Beach, California); his brothers R. Larry Tiffany, (Farmington, Utah), and Dixon Tiffany (Cedar City); and his sister, LorRaine Madill (Taylorsville, Utah).

A Celebration of Life for Ralph will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 9 am at 5151 Orange Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.

Graveside services will be held at 10:40 am that Saturday, November 19, at Forest Lawn, Garden of Protection, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.
